The pool (billiards) table becomes the main attraction for the room you put it in.  It is a piece of furniture.  There are many pool tables to choose from.

When buying a pool table, ask yourself these general questions:

• Do I want new or pre-owned?
  

• How much room do I have?
  

• What kind of player do I want to be? Am I a serious player or is this for enjoyment?
  

• What style of table would look good in the room?
  

• What color cloth and type of cloth: slower or faster?
  

• What kind of an environment is the table going to be in? In a controlled home or a    basement (might need a dehumidifier)? The better the environment, the longer the table will last.  Pool tables are an investment and can last for generations.
